It is so good for me to come back here again today to meet my dear friends from many different foreign countries and to worship God together with you. I have come here 9 times during the past 8 years since 2010. Today I have come here 10th time and I am going to deliver a message entitled as “Believe the Gospel.” It is because pastor Gloria (Young Ae) Kim told me that you are going to have retreat in Seorak mountain and asked me to deliver a message about “the Gospel.”
오늘 여기 다시 와서 여러 나라들에서 오신 사랑하는 여러분들을 만나게 되어서 그리고 여러분들과 함께 하나님께 예배 드리게 되어서 아주 좋습니다. 제가 2010년부터 지난 8년 동안 여기 9번 왔습니다. 오늘은 10번 째로 여기 와서 “복음을 믿으라” 라는 제목으로 말씀을 전하려고 합니다. 김영애 선교사님이 여러분들이 설악산으로 수련회에 간다고 말하면서 “복음”에 대한 메시지를 전해 달라고 부탁을 했기 때문입니다.
The first very important message which Jesus the son of God delivered in Galilee was as the following. “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”(Mark 1:15). Other version reads as the following. “Repent and believe the good news!” The first message which Jesus delivered was “believe the gospel” or “believe the good news.” Linguistically and biblically considering “gospel” means “good news.”
예수님께서 갈릴리에서 처음으로 전파하신 아주 중요한 메시지는 다음과 같은 메시지였습니다. “때가 찼고 하나님의 나라가 가까이 왔으니 회개하고 복음을 믿으라 하시더라” 다른 번역은 다음과 같습니다. “회개하고 기쁜 소식을 믿어라!” 예수님께서 전하신 첫 번째 메시지는 “복음을 믿으라” 또는 “기쁜 소식 (또는 좋은 소식)을 믿으라” 라는 메시지였습니다. 언어학적으로 그리고 성경적으로 생각하면 “복음” 이란 말과 “기쁜 소식”(또는 좋은 소식)이란 말은 같은 말이라고 생각합니다.
Jesus came to the world in order to deliver the “gospel” that is the “good news.” There was no “gospel” nor “good news” in the world until the time of Jesus’ coming to the world. There was always false gospel and bad news in the world until the time of Jesus’ coming to the world. The bad news was that there would be always curse and punishment of eternal death as the result of sins.
예수님께서 세상에 오신 목적은 “복음” 즉 “좋은 소식”을 전하시기 위해서였습니다. 예수님께서 세상에 오시기까지 세상에는 “복음”이나 “좋은 소식”이 존재하지 않았습니다. 예수님께서 세상에 오시기까지 세상에는 언제나 거짓 복음과 나쁜 소식만이 존재했습니다. 나쁜 소식이란 죄악의 결과로 저주와 심판과 영원한 죽음이 언제나 존재한다는 것이었습니다.
Jesus came to the world and delivered the “gospel” and “good news.” The “gospel” and “good news” was as the following. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father and I lay down my life for the sheep”(John 10:14,15). “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”(John 11:25,26). “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”(John 14:6). The “gospel” and “good news” were all too good and too wonderful.
예수님께서 세상에 오셔서 “복음”과 “좋은 소식”을 전하셨습니다. “복음”과 “좋은 소식”의 내용은 다음과 같았습니다. “나는 선한 목자라 내가 내 양을 알고 양도 나를 아는 것이 아버지께서 나를 아시고 내가 아버지를 아는 것 같으니 나는 양을 위하여 목숨을 버리노라”(요 10:14,15). “나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐”(요 11:25,26). “내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”(요 14:6). “복음”과 “좋은 소식”은 너무 좋았고 너무 놀라웠습니다.
The apostle John summarized the contents of “gospel” as the following. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16). The real content of “gospel” is “love.” Jesus repeated to say that he loved all kinds of peoples. “Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.”(John 13:1). “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”(John 13:34).
사도 요한은 “복음”의 내용을 다음과 같이 요약했습니다. “하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 저를 믿는 자마다 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라”(요3:16). “복음”의 참된 내용은 “사랑”입니다. 예수님께서는 모든 종류의 사람들을 사랑하신다는 말씀을 반복하셨습니다. “예수께서 자기가 세상을 떠나 아버지께로 돌아가실 때가 이른 줄 아시고 세상에 있는 자기 사람들을 사랑하시되 끝까지 사랑하시니라”(요 13:1). “새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라”(요 13:34).
The climax of Jesus’ love towards all kinds of sinners in the world manifested on the cross where he was crucified. In fact Jesus came to this world to be crucified on the cross. Jesus himself explained that he was going to be killed on the cross. “From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”(Matt.16:21). This is the “good news” of the “gospel.”
이 세상의 모든 종류의 죄인들을 향한 예수님의 사랑의 극치는 예수님께서 달려서 죽으신 십자가상에서 나타났습니다. 사실 예수님께서는 십자가에 달려서 죽으시기 위해서 세상에 오셨습니다. 예수님께서는 십자가에 달려서 죽으실 것이라고 설명을 하셨습니다. “이때로부터 예수 그리스도께서 자기가 예루살렘에 올라가 장로들과 대제사장들과 서기관들에게 많은 고난을 받고 죽임을 당하고 제 삼 일에 살아나야 할 것을 제자들에게 비로소 가르치시니”(마 16:21). 이것이 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”입니다.
How then could we believe the “good news” of the “gospel”? What is the secret of our believing the “good news” of the “gospel”? God prepares the stages and atmospheres for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel.” God sends his faithful servants to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel.” In Jerusalem there gathered many Jews from many different countries and a few thousands of multinational and multicultural people. There God the father sent Holy Spirit and moved their heart. Then God used Peter the betrayed and repented disciple as his servant for delivering the “good news” of the “gospel.”
그러면 우리들이 어떻게 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 믿을 수가 있습니까? “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 믿을 수 있는 비결이 무엇입니까? 하나님께서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위한 무대와 분위기를 마련하십니다. 하나님께서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전할 수 있는 신실한 종들을 보내십니다. 예루살렘에 여러 곳으로부터 온 유대인들이 모였습니다. 그리고 수 천명의 다 국가 다 문화인들이 모였습니다. 성부 하나님께서는 그 곳에 성령님을 보내셔서 저들의 마음을 감동시키셨습니다. 그리고 배신했다가 회개한 베드로를 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하는 종으로 사용하셨습니다.
The apostle Peter opened his heart and mouth and delivered the “good news” of the “gospel.” “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins”(Acts 2:36,38). The essence of the apostle Peter’s message was that Jesus was crucified for us and therefore we have to repent and believe and be baptized. The three thousand people listened the message and repented and believed and were baptized. They all began to live new lives of believing.
사도 베드로는 마음과 입을 열고 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전했습니다. “그런즉 이스라엘 온 집은 확실히 알지니 너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수를 하나님이 주와 그리스도가 되게 하셨느니라 하니라 베드로가 이르되 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라”(행 2:36,38). 사도 바울이 전한 메시지의 요점은 예수님이 우리들을 위하여 십자가에 달려서 죽으셨다는 것과 그러므로 우리들이 회개하고 믿고 세례를 받아야 한다는 것이었습니다. 거기 모였던 3천여 명이 모두 메시지를 듣고 믿고 세례를 받았습니다. 저들은 모두 새로운 믿음의 삶을 살기 시작했습니다.
God continued to prepare the stages and atmospheres for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel. God continued to send his faithful servants to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel.” God prepared the stages and atmospheres in Caesarea where Cornelius a good centurion lived and sent the apostle Peter and used him to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel. As the result the Caesarean people came to believe and were baptized. “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ”(Acts 10:44,48).
하나님께서는 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위해서 계속해서 무대와 분위기를 마련하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하게 하시기 위해서 신실한 종들을 계속해서 보내셨습니다. 하나님께서는 착한 백부장이었던 고넬료가 살던 가이사랴에 무대와 분위기를 마련하셨으며 사도 베드로를 보내셔서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하게 하셨습니다. 결국 가이사랴의 사람들이 믿고 세례를 받게 되었습니다. “베드로가 이 말 할 때에 성령이 말씀 듣는 모든 사람에게 내려오시니 명하여 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 주라 하니라”(행 10:44,48).
God also prepared the stages and atmospheres in Antioch for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel” through sending refugees there. “Now those who had been scattered by the persecution in connection with Stephen went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.”(Acts 11:19-21). God also sent there Barnabas who was a good man full of the Holy Spirit and faith. As the result a great number of people came to believe. “He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord”(Acts 11:24).
하나님께서는 또한 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 안디옥에 선포하시기 위해서 피난민들을 그곳에 보내시므로 안디옥에 복음 선포의 무대와 분위기를 마련하셨습니다. “때에 스데반의 일로 일어난 환난을 인하여 흩어진 자들이 베니게와 구브로와 안디옥까지 이르러 도를 유대인에게만 전하는데 그 중에 구브로와 구레네 몇 사람이 안디옥에 이르러 헬라인에게도 말하여 주 예수를 전파하니 주의 손이 그들과 함께 하시매 수다한 사람이 믿고 주께 돌아오더라”(행 11:19-21). 하나님께서는 또한 착한 사람이요 성령과 믿음이 충만한 바나바를 안디옥에 보내셨는데 큰 무리가 주께 더했다고 했습니다. “바나바는 착한 사람이요 성령과 믿음이 충만한 자라 이에 큰 무리가 주께 더하더라”(행 11:24).
God also prepared the stages and atmospheres in Philippi for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel.” God did not allow the apostle Paul to stay in Asia but led him to go to Macedonia. “After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. From Troas we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day on to Neapolis. From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.”(Acts 16:10-12).
하나님께서는 또한 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위해서 빌립보에 복음 선포의 무대와 분위기를 마련하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 사도 바울이 아시아에 머물기를 허락하시지 않으시고 마게도냐로 가게 하셨습니다. “바울이 이 환상을 본 후에 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는 하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지경 첫성이요 또 로마의 식민지라 이 성에서 수일을 유하다가”(행16:10-12).
God led the apostle Paul to meet Lydia and to deliver “good news” of the “gospel” to Lydia. “On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. If you consider me a believer in the Lord, she said, come and stay at my house. And she persuaded us.”(Acts 16:13-15).
하나님께서는 사도 바울로 하여금 루디아를 만나게 하셨고 루디아에게 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하게 하셨습니다. “안식일에 우리가 기도처가 있는가 하여 문밖 강 가에 나가 거기 앉아서 모인 여자들에게 말하더니 두아디라성의 자주 장사로서 하나님을 공경하는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 들었는데 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 청종하게 하신지라 저와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 가로되 만일 나를 주 믿는 자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 있게 하니라”(행 16:13-15).
Lydia was a lady possessing an open, accepting and obeying heart. Lydia opened her heart and accepted the “good news” of the “gospel”and obeyed what she heard. Lydia and her family members were all baptized and extended warm hands of service towards the apostle Paul. Lydia’s house became the base of the Philippi church and the base of the foreign mission. The apostle Paul and his members stayed in Lydia’s house and continued to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel” to other people nearby the house.
루디아는 열린 그리고 받아서 순종하는 마음을 지니고 있었습니다. 루디아는 마음을 열어서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 받아 드렸고 그리고 들은 것을 순종했습니다. 루디아와 그의 가족들이 모두 세례를 받았고 사도 바울에게 따뜻한 손길을 폈습니다. 루디아의 집은 빌립보 교회의 기초가 되었고 세계 선교의 기지도 되었습니다. 사도 바울과 그의 동료가 루디아의 집에 유하게 되었고 집 주변에서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 계속해서 전했습니다.
The Acts chapter 16 records the amazing wonderful story of the apostle Paul’s delivering “good news” of the “gospel” to the jailer of the prison. “After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, Don’t harm yourself! We are all here! The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family”(Acts 16:23-34). .
사도행전 16장은 사도 바울이 감옥의 간수에게 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 놀랍고 대단한 이야기를 기록했습니다. “많이 친 후에 옥에 가두고 그 발을 착고에 든든히 채웠더니 밤중쯤 되어 바울과 실라가 기도하고 하나님을 찬미하매 죄수들이 듣더라 이에 홀연히 큰 지진이 나서 옥터가 움직이고 문이 곧 다 열리며 모든 사람의 매인 것이 다 벗어진지라 간수가 자다가 깨어 옥문들이 열린 것을 보고 죄수들이 도망한줄 생각하고 검을 빼어 자결하려 하거늘 바울이 크게 소리질러 가로되 네 몸을 상하지 말라 우리가 다 여기 있노라 하니 간수가 등불을 달라고 하며 뛰어 들어가 무서워 떨며 바울과 실라 앞에 부복하고 저희를 데리고 나가 가로되 선생들아 내가 어떻게 하여야 구원을 얻으리이까 하거늘 가로되 주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 얻으리라 하고 주의 말씀을 그 사람과 그 집에 있는 모든 사람에게 전하더라 밤 그 시에 간수가 저희를 데려다가 그 맞은 자리를 씻기고 자기와 그 권속이 다 세례를 받은 후 저희를 데리고 자기 집에 올라가서 음식을 차려주고 저와 온 집이 하나님을 믿었으므로 크게 기뻐하니라”(행 16:23-34).
God blessed so much the gospel delivering ministry of the apostle Paul as well as the Philippi church so much that the Philippi church became the most valuable and beautiful church. The apostle Paul later confessed that he would be glad and rejoice even if he would become sacrifices for them.
하나님께서는 사도 바울의 복음 전파 사역을 크게 축복하셨고 그리고 빌립보 교회도 크게 축복하셨습니다. 결국 빌립보 교회는 가장 귀중하고 아름다운 교회가 되었습니다. 사도 바울은 나중에 자기가 빌립보 교회를 위한 희생의 제물이 되어도 자기는 기뻐하고 또 기뻐하겠다고 고백했습니다.
The most valuable and most blessed message is the “good news” of the “gospel.” When we hear and accept the “good news” of the “gospel” our fortune and our lives are completely changed from darkness into light from punishment into blessings. How can we hear and accept the “good news” of the “gospel”? There are two basic steps. The first step is repenting. The second step is believing. It is because Jesus the son of God and our savior pronounced as the following. “Repent and believe the gospel.”(Mark 1:15). It is because the apostle Paul also stressed the importance of repenting and believing as the following. “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”(Acts 20:21). Repent is first, belief is second. Repenting as well as believing means surrendering and denying oneself and relying upon God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit alone.
가장 귀중하고 축복된 메시지는 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”입니다. 우리들이 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 듣고 받아드릴 때 우리들의 운명과 삶이 완전히 바뀌어집니다. 어두움에서 빛으로 심판에서 축복으로 바뀌어집니다. 우리들이 어떻게 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 듣고 받아드릴 수가 있습니까? 두 가지 기본적인 단계가 있습니다. 첫 번째 단계는 회개입니다. 두 번째 단계는 믿음입니다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 아들이시고 우리들의 구주이신 예수님께서 다음과 같이 선언하셨기 때문입니다. “가라사대 때가 찼고 하나님 나라가 가까왔으니 회개하고 복음을 믿으라 하시더라”(막 1:15). 사도 바울도 회개와 믿음의 중요성을 다음과 같이 강조했기 때문입니다. “유대인과 헬라인들에게 하나님께 대한 회개와 우리 주 예수 그리스도께 대한 믿음을 증거한 것이라”(행 20:21). 회개가 첫째이고 믿음이 둘째입니다. 회개와 믿음이란 항복하면서 자신을 부정하는 것을 의미하고 성부 하나님과 성자 예수님과 성령 하나님만을 의지하는 것은 의미합니다.
The merciful and loving God is still preparing the stages and atmospheres for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel.” God is still sending his faithful servants to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel.” 152 years ago God sent the Rev. Robert Jermain Thomas to Korea and used him as his faithful servant and messenger to deliver the “good news” of the “gospel.” The Rev. Robert Jermain Thomas came from Wales to Korea to deliver “good news” of the “gospel.” He delivered gospel shouting “believe Jesus, believe Jesus, believe Jesus” at the Daedong riverside in North Korea. He was arrested and beheaded by Park Choon Kwon a North Korean soldier. The Rev Thomas told him that God was loving him and handed him the book of the Bible. It was September 5 1866. He was just 27 years old youth. Later Park Choon Kwon who killed the Rev. Thomas repented and believed God and Jesus and became a faithful servant of God.
자비와 사랑의 하나님께서는 아직도 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위한 무대와 분위기를 마련하고 계십니다. 하나님께서는 아직도 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하는 신실한 종들을 보내고 계십니다. 152년 전에 하나님께서는 로버트 저메인 토마스 목사를 한국에 보내셔서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하는 신실한 종으로 사용하셨습니다. 로버트 저메인 토마스 목사는 웨일스에서 한국으로 와서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전했습니다. 그는 북한 대동강 변에서 “예수를 믿으시요, 예수를 믿으시요, 예수를 믿으시요” 라고 소리를 지르면서 복음을 전했습니다. 그는 체포를 당해서 북한의 군인 박춘권에 의해 목이 잘려서 죽임을 당했습니다. 토마스 목사는 박춘권에게 하나님께서 그를 사랑하신다고 말하면서 성경책을 선물로 주었습니다. 때는 1866년 9월 5일이었고 그가 17세의 젊은 청년이었을 때였습니다. 후에 박춘권은 회개하고 하나님과 예수님을 믿게 되었고 신실한 하나님의 종이 되었습니다.
The Rev. Robert Jermain Thomas became the basis and foundation of the Korean church. After 19 years later the missionaries Underwood and Appenzeller arrived in Korea and made great contribution to build the Korean church. God has continued to prepare the stages and atmospheres for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel” in Korea by raising faithful servants of evangelism. God raised precious servants such as the Rev. Kil Sun Joo, the Rev. Lee Ki Pung, the Rev. Choi Bong Suck, the Rev. Choo Ki Chul, the Rev. Lee Sung Bong, the Rev. Kim Chi Sun, the Rev. Son Yang Won and so on.
로버트 저메인 토마스 목사는 한국교회의 기초와 토대가 되었습니다. 19년 후에 언더우드 선교사와 아펜실라 선교사가 한국에 오게 되었고 한국교회를 세우는 데 크게 공헌을 했습니다. 하나님께서는 계속해서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위한 무대와 분위기를 마련하고 계셨는데 복음 전파를 위한 신실한 종들을 일으켜 세우셨습니다. 하나님께서는 다음과 같은 귀중한 종들을 일으켜 세우셔서 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 전하게 하셨습니다. 즉 길선주 목사님, 이기풍 목사님, 최봉석 목사님, 주기철 목사님, 이성봉 목사님, 김치선 목사님, 손양원 목사님 등을 귀중한 종들을 일으켜 세우셨습니다.
God also prepared the stages and atmospheres for me to receive the "good news" of the "gospel." When I was a small boy I was in North Korea. I was so much touched and moved to see the forefathers of faith such as the Rev. Choi Bong Suck, the Rev. Choo Ki Chul were so faithful to the Lord and were all martyred in Pyongyang. My father was imprisoned at that time and was later martyred. I was so much moved and decided to leave North Korea and go to the South Korea. I wanted to gain the freedom of faith and to become a faithful servant of God. I crossed the border line alone at night and came to the South Korea. It was when I was 11 years old small boy. Since then I became an orphan and alien and lived all of my life with sorrow and pain. God has blessed my life so much. Two years after my arrival in South Korea, I met the Rev. Lee Sung Bong who was called as the Moody in Korea. I attended the revival meetings led by the Rev. Lee Sung Bong 12 times for 3 years and I was so much touched and blessed. He stressed the importance of repent, belief, grace, holiness, evangelism and second coming of Jesus. I did my best to accept and practice what he stressed.
하나님께서는 또한 저로 하여금 "복음"의 "좋은 소식"을 받을 수 있는 무대와 분위기를 마련하셨습니다. 제가 어린 아이였을 때 북한에 있었습니다. 그런데 최봉석 목사님과 주기철 목사님께서 주님께 충성하시다가 평양에서 순교를 당하시는 모습을 바라보면서 깊은 충격과 감동을 받았습니다. 저의 아버지는 그 때 감옥에 계셨는데 나중에 순교를 당했습니다. 저는 깊은 감동을 받고 북한을 떠나 남한으로 가기를 결심했습니다. 저는 신앙의 자유를 지니기를 소원했고 주님의 신실한 종이 되기를 소원했습니다. 저는 캄캄한 밤에 혼자서 국경을 넘어서 남한으로 왔습니다. 제가 11살 난 소년 때의 일이었습니다. 그때부터 저는 고아와 나그네로 슬픔과 아픔을 지니고 한 평생을 살게 되었습니다. 하나님께서는 저의 삶을 아주 많이 축복하셨습니다. 제가 남한에 온지 2년 후에 저는 한국의 무디라고 불리던 이성봉 목사님을 만나게 되었습니다. 저는 이성봉 목사님께서 인도하시는 부흥회에 3년 동안에 12번 참석하면서 아주 많은 감동과 축복을 받았습니다. 이 목사님께서는 회개와 믿음과 은혜와 성결과 전도와 재림의 중요성을 강조하셨습니다. 저는 이목사님께서 강조하시는 것들을 그대로 받아드리고 실천하려고 최선을 다했습니다.
Right after that I met the Rev. Kim Chi Sun who was called as the Jeremiah in Korea. He was always weeping whenever he delivered the message of repentance. He was a pastor of Changdong Presbyterian church and I attended all of the worship services as well as prayer meetings which the Rev. Kim Chi Sun led. I also attended most of the revival meetings in Korea which the Rev. Kim Chi Sun led. I was with him for 7 years and so much touched and blessed. The Rev. Kim Chi Sun stressed the importance of repent, belief,prayer, grace and evangelism. I did my best to accept and practice what he stressed.
바로 후에는 한국의 예레미아라고 불리던 김치선 목사님을 만나게 되었습니다. 그 분은 회개의 메시지를 전하실 때마다 늘 울었습니다. 그 분은 창동교회의 담임 목사님이었는데 저는 김 목사님께서 인도하시는 모든 예배와 모든 기도 모임에 참석했습니다. 저는 또한 김치선 목사님께서 인도하시는 부흥회는 거의 빠지지 않고 참석했습니다. 저는 김 목사님과 7년 동안 함께 하면서 아주 많은 감동와 은혜를 받았습니다. 김치선 목사님께서는 회개와 믿음과 기도와 은혜와 전도의 중요성을 강조하셨습니다. 저는 김 목사님께서 강조하시는 것을 그대로 받아드리고 실천하려고 최선을 다했습니다.
God is still preparing the stages and atmospheres for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel.” God could use the Ammi Mission retreat to Seorak mountain for proclaiming the “good news” of the “gospel.” I pray that God would bless Seorak mountain retreat and bless all of you that your lives could be full of repenting and believing as well as full of delivering the “good news” of the “gospel” to your neighbors. May God bless the Ammi Mission Church and all of the ministries of mission and service. Amen!
하나님께서는 지금도 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하시기 위한 무대와 분위기를 마련하고 계십니다. 하나님께서는 암미 선교회의 설악산 수련회를 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 선포하는 수련회로 사용하실 수 있을 것입니다. 저는 하나님께서 설악산 수련회를 축복하시고 여러분들을 축복하셔서 여러분의 삶이 회개와 믿음으로 충만하고 그리고 “복음”의 “좋은 소식”을 여러분의 이웃들에게 전하는 전도로 충만하게 되기를 기도 드립니다. 하나님께서 암미 선교교회를 축복하시고 선교사역과 섬김의 사역을 축복하시기를 기원합니다. 아멘.
